Who we are
We are Waltham residents who believe in American democracy and we are coming together to fight for fundamental American principles, including the rule of law for all. If we all do a little bit, we can accomplish a lot.
Indivisible is a distributed national movement of non-violent efforts to reclaim our democracy. Learn more at https://indivisible.org/
PAST ACTIONS
Our No Kings! Rally on June 14 broke records for turnout in Waltham with over 2,000 community members showing up peacefully to declare that we will bow to no king, autocrat, or aspiring dictator in the US and that we overwhelmingly reject the unconstitutional actions of the Trump Administration.
On Thursday May 15, we stood out to focus attention on recent ICE actions in Waltham and surrounding communities. Masked ICE agents have unlawfully detained and disappeared our neighbors without due process, using tactics that show ICE to be a rogue force operating outside the law. EVERYONE in this country must receive due process, or none of us are safe.
For May Day, we organized two rallies on May 1 and May 3, joining over 1,000 events nationwide and making history with the largest recorded mass mobilization on May Day.
On April 19 we gathered to say No Kings! We met a bunch more neighbors who want to protect democracy, enjoyed a beautiful sunny day, and received many honks of support from cars passing by.
The April 5 Hands Off! rally on Waltham Common was a great success! It was reassuring and energizing to be protesting in community with about 1,000 of our neighbors!
Our events have been entirely peaceful, with participants of all ages including many young children. A big THANK YOU to all of you who came out to make your voice heard.
